Turkey Hunter TV is a digitally broadcast series that follows industry veteran, Russell Knight Jr. and friends as they pursue their favorite game animal in North America, the wild turkey. The series is filmed and edited by outdoor production veterans Russell Knight and Seth Johnson that have a combined 25 years in the industry. With the goal of creating an informative, non-traditional turkey hunting show, the production focuses on hunting scenarios and calling techniques with a high- end production. To achieve this, Seth and Russell utilize filming techniques with multiple-angle viewpoints and broadcast leading camera equipment as well as professional lighting gear in studio settings. Each show focuses on the “story” of the hunt and the trials and tribulations that a turkey hunter experiences pursuing the game animal that they love so much. Viewers will appreciate the real-world approach and down-to-earth personality that Russell presents on camera through his educational and informative knowledge of turkey hunting.

Meet the Host

Lifelong Turkey Hunter, Russell Knight, Jr. got his start in the hunting industry as a cameraman for Knight & Hale founders David Hale and Harold Knight over 12 years ago. Since then, he has filmed all over the world for seven different nationally-aired television shows. He was also named as a pro-staff member for K&H’s Turkey Hunting call line and on numerous occasions appeared in front of the camera showcasing his calling techniques and hunting abilities. Like Harold and David, others noticed Russell’s uncanny ability to call turkeys and he quickly became known for his ability to fill a tag. At one point, he was even asked to serve as a judge for the NWTF Grand National Turkey Calling Contest. Beyond the hunting and filming industry, Russell spends much of his time hunting with his father, Russell Knight, Sr. After years of hunting together and contemplating an idea for an innovative turkey hunting vest, the two designed a prototype that would eventually turn into a business of their own, the Knight’s Hands-Free Hunting Vest. Fast forward a dozen years, Russell was talked into combining his filming talents and turkey hunting abilities into a digital series dedicated to what he does best... Turkey Hunter.
